The meeting was called to order: at 10:00 a.m. by Brian D. and opened with the Serenity Prayer

- A motion was made by John R to approved the minutes from last month. Shawn seconded the motion and the minutes were approved.
- Brian gave an update on the current status of the room. This led to a suggestion that we go into the room on Sunday and remove everything from the walls and push the furniture into the middle of the room to allow contractors access to paint and change ceiling tiles.
Treasury Report: Jay F – No Treasury Report today
- A motion was made by Jeanne O to accept the January 2026 Treasurer Report, seconded by Jeff K. and the report was accepted.
Alt Treasury Report: Lisa C.
- Lisa reported that BGE was still charging us fees even though the power has been off. A motion was made by Amanda requesting to pay the bill and figure it out later. John R seconded that motion.
General Services Rep (GSR) – (Information by Jeanne O)
- WAGSA had a Special Assembly on September 8, 2025 to vote on PAIs (Proposed Agenda Items) to be forwarded to the General Services Office from Area 13 to be considered for the next General Services Assembly in April 2026
- There will be a special assembly in October for Area 13’s Area Inventory
Washington Area Intergroup Association (WAIA): –
- Report is on the website
Hospitals & Institutions – (Information from Jay F.)
- Volunteers are still signing up to participate in meetings at Howard County Hospital
- Jay F. is still taking meetings to Ordinance Road on the 4th Thursday of every month
Chips: – Mike D.
- We have almost a full inventory of chips whic have been moved to Greenbelt Step Club until 368 Main Street reopens
Publications Report – Mike D.
- Some books are located for sale at Greenbelt Step Club
- Books also used for In-Person Meeting Wedensday, 12 Noon
Supplies – Ben C – Not Present
- Supplies remain the same as December when the fire closed 368 Main Street
Secretary Coordinator – Shawn G.
- Secretary is just waiting for reopening
Virtual Meeting Coordinator – Jeanne O.
- Online meeting are going through their scheduled rotations for service positions
Website – John R. – Report Submitted
- Report was sent out to the Steering Committee
- 2026 Elections were held entirely on-line as 368 remains closed
- For the first time both election sign-up as well as the elections themselves were held on-line
Old Business:
- Fire updates – Still a couple of months away from opening
- Amanda has volunteered to be the liason with the contrator and keep the group updated as to next steps they may require from us.
- The information was given regarding the “club” that several people are putting together, along with the plans. A motion was made by John R. and seconded by Jeanne O. to not have “club” business in the Service Committee Meetings. The club may be of interest to Laurel Recovery group members however, it is a separate entity and should be treated as such.
- Our main goal remains getting back into 368 Main Street
New Business
- We are waiting for next steps to be able to get back to 368 Main Street
